Picked up YET ANOTHER O’Reilly Book for work.

It’s important to be able to multitask and handle interruptions while not losing sight of long term goals and projects. When I was working for Temple, I had the luxury of having tasks assigned to me from the CIO of the College of Education or being able to find a quiet location in order to focus on a project while someone else covered the front lines.

At my current place of work, I’m lucky that I only have to support a tenth of the workstations that I had to help support at Temple. On the other hand, I don’t have a help desk staffed with wonderful people to take care of the smaller problems that can easily soak up time and energy. This must be what it’s like to be spoiled! I think Temple’s help desk deserves a big shout out!
