Where are my stimulus funds?

Rendell Proposes $21 million cut in Temple support

Temple University, with the other state-related universities, received bad news last week. Gov. Ed Rendell announced his intent to cut the Commonwealth’s appropriation to the four state-related universities for the coming fiscal year by 12.8 percent, and declared that Temple, Penn State, Pitt, and Lincoln universities were being cut out of federal stimulus funding.

This is complete bullshit! Thanks to this, I could see a 12% hike in my tuition. How can the United States lead the world if politicians won’t even invest in something that consistently yields returns.

College graduates have better jobs with higher pay which increases tax revenue. They buy houses which brings revenue to counties and local townships. Citizens with more education make better decisions, which will reduce the cost of law enforcement and also the cost of health care.

The minds of young Americans are “shovel ready” and deserve stimulus money!
