WASHINGTON – Bowing to Republican pressure, President Barack Obama's administration signaled on Sunday it is ready to abandon the idea of giving Americans the option of government-run insurance as part of a new health care system.

Forget compromises! Ram the public plan down their fat, corrupt, hypocritical throats! Are Democrats so afraid of their own shadow that even with a super majority they’re going to screw this up?

Republicans are dead set against any reform because it will benefit Democrats and Obama. This is only going to embolden them.
